Saab 9-3 ECU Removal Guide

1. Remove the three (3) T30 torx screws.

2. This is the location of your ECU.

3. Remove the Two ECU connectors. They may be very tight as they have never been removed. You will want to push the plastic tab down while pulling up on the metal latch. If stuck you can use the plastic sliding mechanism tabs shown at the bottom of this picture to help. Push these tabs inwards while pulling up on the metal latches.

4. Remove the (4) 10mm bolts holding the ECU in place. Note: be mindful of where the ground loop goes and make sure to reinstall this when hooking up the new ECU!!!
